Trash Talking
An important part of playing basketball is trash talking your oppenents best player. If you get matched up against the other teams best player than you have to get inside his head. You make fun of him when he misses a shot, and when you make a good shot you tease him when you make a good shot over him. lf you can get inside his head and screw him up then your team's chances of winning go up. Yeah I've gotten one or two technicals for taunting but it was worth it.

I trash talk all of the time. It gets the other players really mad at you and then they dont think about the game. I also yell at the refs alot.
ReplyDeleteAmaia-I think there's a difference between trash talking, which is kind of immature and rediculous, and getting in someone head. I would rather get in someone's head by frustrating them becuase they can't stop you, or you make your free throws when they foul you. I suppose that's just a matter of opinion though.
ReplyDeleteEmma- I would agree with Amaia on this. Although, I can't say I have never trash talked because I would be lieing. I can say there is better ways to get inside peoples heads other than trash talking though.
ReplyDeleteI don't like trash talking in any sport. I hope we can get rid of it in our society.
